The path to meaningful careers often begins with our first opportunity to work.
The Youth Employment Program provides individuals 14 to 24 with the resources they need to begin a career pathway or take the next step on their lifelong journey of work.
We deliver a comprehensive array of youth services that focus on assisting out-of-school youth and in-school youth with one or more barriers to employment
- Prepare for post-secondary education and employment opportunities
- Attain educational and/or skills training credentials, and
- Secure employment with career/promotional opportunities.
While some youth may attend some type of formal skill training, most of the youth we work with are placed in jobs at worksites throughout the county so that they experience working, earn some money and begin to gain the expected work social skills that will enable them to be successful throughout their lifetime. Youth employment opportunities are available year round or through the summer months.
