We Are L.E.A.P., the community action agency in Washington County. You may have heard of us by a different name in the past. We decided we needed to lead with a name that matches our purpose and value. When you think of L.E.A.P., we want you to know that we spring to action and help individuals achieve new heights.

The E in L.E.A.P. stands for employment. We believe that by creating access to resources, individuals have the opportunity to seek and secure employment, as well as build skills, strategies, and goals for a lifetime.

What that means is that we can assist you if you are seeking training, need to complete your TASC, the Test Assessing Secondary Completion formerly known as the GED. If you want to increase skills utilizing computer-based training classes known as Metrix Learning, this program is available to the employed and unemployed free of charge. If you need to write a resume, references, or cover letter or if you want to discuss career options, we have counselors available to assist you.

We have a Summer Youth Employment program that works with in-school and out-of-school youth in conjunction with area businesses and organizations. This program puts youth ages 14-20 to work. If you are ages 16-24 and have not yet completed high school and are looking to get your high school equivalency, our Youth TASC program is an option for you.

If you need to increase your knowledge regarding resume building, goal setting, information about online job applications, what employers are looking for, put together a 30-second elevator pitch then our one-on-one workshops are available for you.

We are committed to focusing on community and individual well-being through employment. If you are seeking opportunities to move forward in your job or career or if you have questions, we can help.
